We love Marilee's March Client of the Month, Reigna Rox! She's a beautiful pinup and person who's worked with Marilee for years!
We asked Reigna to share some of her memories of Marilee, and she kindly obliged...
Reigna on the start of things, and why Marilee's work is magical...
Marilee was recommended to me, gosh, around 7 years ago, after I entered my first pinup contest. Being the introvert I am, it was such a compliment and I decided to go for it! Super glad I did!
Meeting Marilee at her home studio was amazing. First of all SHE is gorgeous, her home studio was dreamy, and the doggie welcome was an immediate nerve calmer. Marilee immediately went into creative mode. We had so much fun choosing outfits for our day of shooting. Discussing how the makeup and hair would transition for each one.
Seeing those finished photos made my jaw drop. Was that ME??? She truly worked her magic! Most know, but for those who don't, she is also the makeup and hair artist. She has a flair for vintage styles and adds just the right modern touch to make the look absolutely right for the vision. She helps with posing (which I appreciate!) and makes sure everything comes together wonderfully.
On her favorite project together...
My favorite shoot with Marilee has got to be the one we did in honor and memory of my father, with his classic car that he left to me. She really went above and beyond, and captured exactly what my father would have wanted. It was an on location shoot, complete with mariachis, with my father's spirit there with us. It was a sentimental, love filled, and fun day which we commemorated with a beautiful book of all the photos that I cherish.
Other favorite shoots, and great things to come...
Gotta say, though, I've got a few favorite shoots! The cowgirl one being at the top of the heap, too! We worked on a fun shoot last Fall that will be published soon and I'm so excited to share it. Looking forward to getting together again to create and have more fun playing in her beautiful new studio!
If you haven't been there yet, GO. The wardrobe closet alone is enough to drool over!
Thank you, Reigna! We can't wait to see the upcoming work!
