Marilee Caruso Photography's April Client of the Month is the fabulous pinup and our good friend, Miss Melody Noir!
For over a year now, Melody and Marilee have been shooting and publishing dozens of magical sets, including several covers! Recently, Melody shared some memories of their photographic adventures together...
On finding the right photographer in Marilee...
"I first heard of Marilee through Retro Lovely’s Instagram. Retro Lovely reshared an image from a recent publication and I just loved everything about it! The wardrobe, makeup, hair and background. I looked to see who the photographer was and was stoked to see Marilee was semi close to me in location. From there, I went to her website and inquired about setting up my first pinup shoot. What a journey we have been on since my first shoot! We have created amazing art together and I am so thankful for that."
Melody's favorite memories working with Marilee...
"My favorite memory of working with Marilee would have to be my birthday shoot and our trip to the Madonna Inn. My birthday shoot showed me how determined Marilee is in getting the perfect shot. The cake [prop] I ordered was not an easy build but she never gave up. I knew she was a hard worker but that moment showed me how dedicated she really is to ensuring her client is happy as well as creating beautiful art. The Madonna Inn trip is a wonderful memory because…come on it’s the Madonna inn! But in all seriousness, I got to get to know Marilee on a more personal level. She is truly such a beautiful genuine person. I am so happy our paths have crossed and the time we have spent together."
Melody's favorite pictures and plans for the future...
"One of my favorite images Marilee took of me is from a on location shoot. It also became my first international cover. I was so nervous about the hairstyle because it was a big change for me. I have always trusted Marilee’s input and ideas and they have never steered me wrong. As a matter of fact they have created some amazing images I would have never got if I didn’t have that trust in her. I can’t recommend Marilee enough. She is one of the greats in this industry! I am always excited to see her business grow and what new ideas she comes up with."
